ISRAEL – A UNIVERSAL BLESSING

“Yosef may Hashem… make you a thousand times more than you are and bless you as he has promised you” (Deut.1.11)
The camp of the Israelites in the desert at the time of Bilam extended over an area of 6 square Parsa (Targum Yonatan).
Moshe blesses them with the wish that they increase a thousand-fold, that is, that they extend over a distance of 6000 Parsa in each direction. This means that with the fulfilment of Moshe’s blessing, Israel will extend from one end of the universe to the other. (Kerem Shelomo)
A Parsa is 4 mil (slightly shorter than the modern-day mile). 6000 Parsa is therefore 24000 mil, which is the circumference of the world. Moshe blesses Israel that they cover the entire surface of the earth.
Today the ‘blessings of Bilam’ which in effect are veiled curses of Israel, are being broadcast all over the world. This is a sign that the age of Mashiah Ben Yosef, with its turbulent cosmic battles, has begun. At one and the same time it is the beginning of the fulfilment of Moshe’s blessing beginning with Yosef.
This means that the time is near for the broadcasts of the network of Kol Yisrael – the voice of Israel, to spread over the entire surface of the world with news of the conquest of the power of spiritual light of Israel over the powers of darkness.
